An important aspect of our mission and campaign initiatives central to ACHES is the multi-collaborative efforts of our wider friends and supporters. We wanted to emphasize the scope of our partnerships and collaborators. Since we started our grassroots movement, we have been linked closely with the National Residents Association (NRA), which exemplifies how communities that work together achieve more results and are stronger together. Using continued community engagement, the NRA have extensively highlighted the deleterious health and safety hazards of 5G technology showing that harms far outweigh any proposed benefits. They, like ACHES, have also joined the dots on the threats posed by Smart Cities being rolled out across the country. The NRA have produced superb videos and helpful leaflets to highlight these issues, together with useful tips on measuring radiofrequency radiation (RFR) using radiation meters that capture readings of the electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure levels in people’s homes, streets, and local surroundings.
“They, like ACHES, have also joined the dots on threats posed by Smart Cities”
A core partner and collaborator to ACHES who has done some marvellous work is Ian Jarvis who began a local movement severalyears ago in his hometown of Wolverhampton: Ian Jarvis on EMF & 5G. This resource represents a small core team of individuals working together around the country to help build a community of like-minded people. The website includes news, videos, and documents relating to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and Codes of Practice for wireless networks, technical standards, and guidelines for objections to new and existing masts, cell towers and street hubs. This very comprehensive site also contains multiple fact sheets and information about active 5G case studies. Ian has produced numerous tutorials to guide citizens on how to find a telecoms planning application, as well as technical standards and factsheets to explain the complexity of the planning aspects of these infrastructures. The website includes helpful videos explaining how he and other collaborators within the team have uncovered hundreds of 5G masts being erected with safety certificates written in the name of non-existent or dissolved companies (see our upcoming Blog that discusses this in more detail).
Another excellent collaboration is that of 5G in Merton – established by Asif Naqvi, a concerned citizen who has followed the wireless technology industry and health effects of the rollout of 5G for some years. His efforts to delve deeper into the health and safety claims of wireless and 5G were sparked in 2018 when millions of transmitters started to pop up all over the globe; yet, industry representatives revealed that no independent studies had been funded to examine public safety related to these newer technologies. 5G is unlike previous generations of networks. In a US senate hearing in 2019, Richard Blumenthal asked wireless industry representatives whether there are any health implications of 5G, which due to its much shorter wavelength frequency requires potentially millions of transmitters to be added close to homes, schools and workplaces. Despite his request for information, no independent studies were carried out by the industry to demonstrate safety. Blumental concluded “we’re flying blind in terms of health and safety”. Since no independent testing has been done, and the effect on our health is unknown, the precautionary principle needs to be applied. 5G in Merton has a plethora of helpful videos, news links and resources. Asif and his growing group of informed supporters produce helpful newsletters, and ACHES is liaising with him and others in educating on the harms of 5G and wireless technology.
ACHES has partnered with the Children’s Health Defense (CHD), whose mission is to protect and restore the health of children from the harms caused by medical and environmental exposures. They are also holding responsible parties to account: CHD have won several high-profile liability cases and uphold our health freedoms that are under attack. Impressively, CHD have undertaken education, litigation and advocacy cases in relation to EMF and wireless programmes, and were a natural partner for ACHES. CHD helped support our London-based ACHES 2023 and 2024 events, with live-streamed talks by Scott McCollough, lead outside counsel to the CHD. Scott famously won a court case against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by challenging their outdated wireless radiation exposure guidelines. As a testament to these successes and the increased awareness of these issues, in 2024, more than 100 scientists urged the FCC to temporarily suspend new broadband satellite launches until the agency assesses the environmental effects of the planned technologies. Moreover, over 180 scientists and doctors from 35 countries requested a pause on the rollout of 5G communications until the health hazards have been independently investigated.
CHD has sued multiple companies over plans for smart cities, wireless and 5G cell towers across various states in the US, owing to violation or noncompliance with health or safety regulations. On 10 January 2025, the CHD launched the official site, Stop 5G, an initiative to empower citizens to protect their community. This new website provides resources and step-by-step guides on how to push back against the unwavering expansion of quantities of cell towers, which is in unison with our ACHES mission. Jointly, their efforts and ours help citizens to stop new proposed cell towers, challenge existing towers, and prevent the installation of smart meters. In partnership with the McCollough Law Firm and team of legal experts, the Stop 5G consulting services offer education, advocacy support and legal representation to help oppose cell towers and small cell installations.
In 2024, we officially partnered with the World Council for Health (WHC) who are building a better way for a better world, with an impressive 230 coalition partner organizations working collaboratively in 45 countries to advance public health knowledge. The WCH is a not-for-profit, funded organization that was established in 2021 to forge health-focused initiatives to help broaden public knowledge and share science and wisdom; it respects informed consent to safeguard human rights, freedom and body autonomy to empower people to take control of their health and wellbeing. Crucially, with the powerful partnership of collaboration, the WCH has helped create the Better Way Principles to bring people together to co-create new ways of working and living to promote improved health and wellbeing. The WCH founder, Dr Tess Lawrie, was a speaker at our 2024 London event “Society: Controlled or Free? It’s Up to Us”.
There are other collaborators that need a brief mention. For example, Action Against 5G, is a group of concerned individuals nationwide that joined forces to campaign tirelessly against 5G. Together with a team of scientists, doctors and lawyers, this group took legal proceedings against the UK government’s failure to take sufficient notice of the health and safety risks posed by wireless radiation and the national deployment of 5G. Their website has many helpful links, videos and campaigns, and as a direct result of some well-informed UK campaigners, 68% of 5G mast applications have been refused over the last 2 years. Another valuable resource can be found on RFInfo, which is a close partner with Action Against 5G helping to put these efforts into context. Safe Tech International is a voluntary association of individuals around the world who have come together to support, encourage and help grow the safe technology movement, and to foster public participation in envisioning and ensuring a future that respects and protects all life. Check out their prolific and informative blog postings. Notably, the Environmental Health Trust is a think tank that has been outspoken about 5G masts: it encourages a world where thriving technology is not only state-of-the-art but safe for all. Eileen O’Connor co-founded the EM Radiation Research Trust, which provides valuable resources to empower people to prevent harms caused by unsafe technology. For individuals who are sensitized by EMFs, please visit this helpful site: ES–UK. Finally, for those interested in the fascinating science of energy healing and self-healing therapies, please visit BEMRI, an extensive organization co-founded by Ingrid P. Dickenson.
We are proud and privileged to work with all our partners and collaborators at the local, national, and international levels to improve health and environmental wellbeing at this much-needed, all-encompassing level. It should be emphasised that all the educational efforts at ACHES, including talks, videos, as well as events, conferences, letters to counsellors and schools to raise awareness of these issues have all been undertaken as part of a huge voluntary collaborative effort that is not funded by local or national government or any industry sectors. We hope you will help support our continued efforts and achievements via our donation link.
